Family-Owned Integrity, Quality, and Innovation Since 1988
A proud family-owned and operated company currently under the leadership of second-generation brothers Clayton and Blake, both highly qualified Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers, the company continues to thrive. Known for honesty, high-quality results, and innovative solutions, commitment to safety, strong leadership, and building long-term client relationships. We take pride in delivering successful industrial, commercial, or residential projects.
Our History
Established in 1988 by Blair and Peter Summerville, both qualified carpenters, to undertake residential and commercial building work.
In 1992 they became a preferred supplier to New Zealand Steel. Since then Summerville Bros have carried out the majority of the civil and construction work for New Zealand Steel to support their maintenance and capital works programmes.
The knowledge and experience gained through the wide variety of work undertaken has allowed Summerville Bros Ltd to expand their business to include other industrial clients as well as undertaking a range of other commercial and high-end residential projects in their own right.
Clayton and Blake came on board in 2014. Their experience has proved invaluable as SBL continues to expand for future generations to come.

Culture is everything and Clayton and Blake actively involve themselves in daily operations, fostering an environment where we all know each other and look out for one another. This has been cemented in from day one. Multiple staff have been part of the family for 20+ years!
